A gentleman by the name of Toby Tobias, which owned a lumber yard in Cloquet, MN, had an idea of pre-panelizing wall sections to speed up the building process for his customers.  This idea became Economy Garages in 1976.  What started as an idea for wall sections has grown to include excavation, concrete and building construction.  Now owned by Jamie Bird since 2000, and in our 48^th year, Economy Garages has built well over 9,200 buildings and we’re adding more every day.
