The final look of the land around the building is the responsibility of the homeowner.  If Economy Garages is contracted to complete the site preparation, the site will be prepared with granular fill under the slab area including an additional two-foot perimeter.  Often times, since the original grade is not level, the removed topsoil is used to create a berm to transition the land from the top of the prepared site to the original grade.  This is not considered final landscaping merely a necessity to keep the prepared area in its place.  Final landscaping may consist of retaining walls, garden areas, sod, rocks, wildflowers, etc. and are the responsibility of the homeowner.
