Working in the trades has had its challenges over the years.  It has been, and is still, a commonplace for companies to hire subcontractors to work on their projects either as standard, or to help control their workload during extremely busy times.  The major problem with this approach is control.  Laws state that subcontractors must be able to operate as their own company which includes hiring, termination, hours worked, scheduling, etc.  This creates many issues in regard to communication with customers, quality standards, and timelines.  Economy Garages’ building crews are all employees and are supervised and trained by our own staff.  This allows us to control how buildings are built, the quality of the structures, and scheduling.
