Now that you called 811 or used the online services of Gopher One (Minnesota) or Diggers Hotline (Wisconsin) to have your underground utilities marked, there is nothing else to worry about… right?  The unfortunate answer is “Yes there is”.  Those locating services scheduled through the sources mentioned will only mark the utilities up to the meter in the case of gas and electricity but will not mark between the meter and the house.  These lines are considered private and require a private locate company to mark these lines.  You may need to contact your local gas or power company to find a company that offers this service.
