Cement Shortage/Allocation

It may be a surprise to most of us, but even the ready-mix concrete industry has been disrupted by a shortages.  Cement is a key ingredient in concrete and was difficult for companies to acquire toward the end of the 2022 building season.  This shortage led to concrete not being available for most residential projects in our area during a time of year when contractors are pushing to get the final concrete projects completed before winter.  I am not sure how this year is going to play out for concrete, but the turmoil in this sector has led to a 15.6% increase to contractors at the start the 2023 season.
