Road Restrictions

Looks like the snow has finally melted, so let’s get this building project rolling… right?  Not so fast!  The fact is that weight limits are placed on roads in the spring, during the time the frost is melting.  The melting frost results in the ground having a much higher water content.  These restrictions are in place to protect the roads from damage due to heavy traffic moving over the soft roadbeds.  You may notice the signs that are placed under the county road signs indicating the maximum weight allowed on specific roads.  Unfortunately, these weight restrictions do not allow heavy traffic as in loaded dump trucks and concrete trucks.  Projects located on these roads are not able to commence until the restrictions are lifted.
