Usually, by the time your sales representative leaves your property, you will have a to-the-penny quote in hand and the option to move on to the next step!
Before we can move forward with production, there are a few tasks that need to be squared away.
Over the years Economy Garages USA has developed a process to move you smoothly and efficiently through building production. The “Green Lights” come when all the customer’s tasks are complete. These responsibilities need to be finished before we can place you on our production schedule and may include:
Removals – getting rid of trees that are in the way, digging out large rocks, and preparing the ground for construction
Permitting – receiving a go-ahead from the city or municipality to begin construction
You will receive a customer number that allows you to check the progress of your job status. You can also use this number to monitor where you are on our production schedule by visiting the Job Status Page. When all tasks are complete and we have the Green Lights, we move on to production!
Now's the time for excavation, concrete work, and construction of the building itself — each completed by a specialized crew.
You always have the choice to do your own excavation. But, if you choose to let us do it, your job will be issued to our excavation crew.
Excavation: Our experienced excavators will come out to your site and make sure your site is square, level, and compacted. Providing a proper foundation is crucial.
Concrete: When excavation is complete, your job will be issued to the concrete crew. They will set up forms and install rebar and mesh for a strong and true-to-size concrete slab. When this base is in place, they will pour your concrete floor, making sure to give it a nice finish.
Building: Once the slab is poured, your job gets placed on our building schedule. The building timeframe varies depending on the time of year, workload and weather conditions. Once your job start time is within two weeks, you will receive a call with the approximate date that we will be on site. Keep in mind that weather conditions and other factors may impact the building schedule slightly. You will receive a call the day before we start building.
Soon, the building you’ve been picturing will be standing right before your eyes! Depending on the size of your structure, choice of siding, and other factors, it may take our crews anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks on site to construct your building. Once the building crew is finished, they will leave you the keys and a packet with all necessary information, including a report card for you to fill out telling us about your experience.
